I'm expecting to be there, but don't let that scare you away!

I can sincerely say that it's one of the best rides of the year. Part of that is because I used to live in Lancaster County, but more importantly, it's a great chance to meet lots of people from Bike Forums.

I am all ready too...I just finished my Neo Exile so showing up with a different bike (since I haven't ridden this ride with the same bike twice) will be no problem.

Congratulations to both of you! Well, the four of you, including the wives, but you know what I mean! Best of luck with the new additions to the family. Grasschopper, I'm referring to the kid, not the Neo Exile, but good luck with that too!

This ride sounds great. I live in Center City Philly so I will just "ride to the ride". Thanks for the heads up.

This is the first time we are doing this ride. Where is the starting point and what hotels are closest to it. We plan to make it a long weekend.

Thank you

I'll try to find the place we stayed at tonight and report back - it was a decent place very close to the start area. Maybe a 5-10 min drive at most.

K, we're booked for the ride - WOOT!

We're staying over yonder: https://www.qualityinn.com/hotel-lanc...?promo=gglocal

however, last time we stayed over thar: https://www.qualityinn.com/hotel-lanc...?promo=gglocal

both are real close to the start point; as I mentioned it took us maybe 15 mins, tops, to drive to the start last time and I think that second link is the farther away of the two.

Here is the map to the ride: https://www.lancasterbikeclub.org/cbmmap.html

Would anyone be driving from Philly? I'm trying not to rent a car but I'd really like to do this ride.

I did the ride last year and really enjoyed it. Subway for lunch was a nice touch. Well worth the $18 reg fee. I will be doing it again this year.

In the past, we've been pretty easy to spot at the start. Usually someone brings a BikeForums banner, and we all hang around it. The details will be all sorted out, as the ride gets closer. Sometimes there is a short social ride, or dinner the day before, which is another opportunity for folks to meet. One way or another, I'm sure you'll see someone from BF.

I don't want to wish summer away, but I can't wait to ride this one again,

Denny

Got the room reserved. Quality Inn (Oregon Pike), same place I've stayed in the past. Not bad for the price, and all the rooms are ground floor, so no carrying bikes upstairs. Plus it's a short ride to the start via backroads, so I can leave the car at the hotel.

I've done it a few years in a row and this year will be no exception. This and the Sea Gull and my regular events, it seems.

I'll be heading up from Baltimore if anyone wants to car pool.
