Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I don't have one. That's why I did 50 miles of base. It rained some, but I can handle rain.

I feel sorry for those of you up north. You should find better places to live.

Yep. 10" here, an additional 4-6" due tomorrow. That's plenty for here. VT skiing should be outstanding. I'm going out to my local hill to do some turns in the AM.

No good excuse accept I spent a couple hours helping a friend replace the alternator in his car... He has a broken wrist so I did the wrenching and he did the buying.
Then we test drove it, and did a little Christmas shopping... When I got home I had to figure out my student loans.

I went from feeling accomplished to feeling like Cr@p. I really should spend a few hours on the bike tomorrow, It always chears me up.

The car free guys will love my excuse: i didn't ride today because i was working on my car! 40 year-old cars sometimes require a little tinkering...(had to pull the head and put a new head gasket on - easy but took a few hours).
