Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Hard to go wrong at that price. Not to say it can't be done.

Good lord thats dirt cheap.
You probably dont need reassurance, but... the sora stuff right now is really solid. My wife's roadbike rocks Sora and its trouble free and accurate. Been that way for 2 years of medium use riding.
Really good stuff...but at the prixe you got the bike for, you could replace the drivetrain due to it completely falling apart and still vome out ahead!

I'll keep the Sora for awhile, but keep my eye out on sales. Maybe pick up a piece here and there. But first I need a new saddle. Today is hitting the 70's and I was planning a long ride, just got called into work for overtime. My ride will have to wait till tomorrow when it's in the 40's.

Here is my all arounder, a Specialized Secteur. I've owned a lot of Specialized bikes and like this bike a lot. Not even sure if gravel grinder was a term when I bought this bike. 33mm tires on it, and thats about max that will fit in the rear due to the chainstay cross brace/fender mount being close to the tire. Its mostly a pavement day tourer when I do rides with the wifey.

Yes its the stock carbon fork Colonel. Crank, wheels & bar tape are not. The Sram cranks were one of the lightest at the time (on a 105 bike).
And Stans wheels are always light too. I guess I went a littler overboard.

Picked myself up a new gravel grinder yesterday.

Did a 30 mile mixed 70/30 gravel/road ride today, bike worked really well.

I think I want to look for some better tires for road riding though, the tires it came with are rather aggressive.
