Anyone installed a rim brake on a Huffy Cranbrook?

Anyone installed a rim brake on a Huffy Cranbrook?
If so, can you tell me what brake kit you used to fit he bike? The coaster brake works okay, but a front rim brake would add a lot to the bike. Also it would help steady the thing for this 69 year old geezer when mounting/dismounting. Also as a safety valve should a chain brake.

Look to the BMX parts for a rim brake. They have Dia-compe ones which are good for the amount of reach you need. I thought of using some but with posts for V brakes I am instead switching to DC canti for my Schwinn.

Any 'ol non roadbike sidepull will fit. I prefer a beefier bmx caliper, than some chintzy stamped steel one. Find one with a standard sized mounting bolt, because bmx sidepulls come in two bolt sizes; standard and a bigger ⅞ or whatever sized bolt. Why, 'cause they're forged aluminum and won't bend/flex. I have a Dans Comp 1999 brake on the front of my LaJolla, with a short pull lever, came as a set.
