Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

We have a thread for this very purpose:
https://www.bikeforums.net/singlespe...ar-thread.html
If you were posting info and a build on it and pictures of the build as it was progressing I could see a different thread but to just post a link and that is it...kinda phoning it in.

There are always warnings about mixing and matching frames with forks designed for a different geo

- but yeah the proof is in the pudding so to speak and there seem to be a lot of bikes out there with a steep headtube and a slacker fork.

So yeah, have you had a chance to ride your griffin yet?

If so how do you like the handling?

The green bike isn't mine. This is mine, but same steep headtube and slacker fork. Rides good.

Based on the seat post heights, these frames appear too large for you

The green one as I said is not even mine it is one that I built as a display. The seat would have to go a bit higher for me to ride it though. It is still too big for me. The red one is definitely too big for me but was the most fun bike I ever rode. It was such a shame when it cracked as all those old Cannondales eventually do.
