only applicable with that lever and the same Period Simplex RD

I have Old Campag friction Bar ends to a Campag Rally RD and that is unnecessary .

*Its like a backwards travel agent, Functionally ..

The Simplex Demultiplicator Relais can be used with any combination of shifter and rear derailer. The purpose is to spread the movement of the lever making gear changing a positive 'no fumbling' operation especially on close ratio freewheels. I use one with Simplex Retrofriction bar end shifters, a Simplex SLJ 6000 and a 14/28 7 speed freewheel.

Though at the time they were not closely spaced Like the trend has been pushed, now (ie5~6/7 vitesses, not 10&11)

I think routing the cables under the bar tape looks better, and with modern cable housing I doubt friction would be a problem, but I don't like the way cables feel under my bar tape. And why I use non-aero brake levers. That's also one reason I've never liked using brifters of any kind.
