This post reminds me of a time I was out riding and another rider went by in the other direction, wearing no shirt at all. Frankly, he was not going to show up as a model in GQ anytime if you get my meaning. As we passed, I yelled at him, "Put a shirt on."

A few minutes later, he came up beside me from behind and very aggressively asked, "What did you say?"

So I barked at him, "Put a shirt on; you look terrible; you're visual pollution. It's offensive to other people."

He said, "I don't care about other people."

I responded "That's obvious; now go away. You're bothering me."

He did go away, and I never saw him again; or if I did, he must have been wearing a shirt and I did not recognize him.

Part of how we dress may be to make ourselves feel good and part may be to impress others, but we should at least consider whether we are just making the world uglier.

And here I was thinking this was accounting for the curious absence of 'Sup Larry.

if you need assistance from more than one person getting the jersey on, it’s definitely too tight. ;-)

seriously, i add layers over the top, not underneath.

The jersey I returned was the Castelli perfecto ros LS. I think this is more jacket than jersey. I can’t think of anything you would layer over top aside from a Gortex shell.

Quite a few of the Castelli jackets have a very tight armpit area.

i have a couple salomon cycling jackets (windproof front and breathable back) that i’ve been using for cool spring/fall riding for years. I wear either salomon over a LS jersey or jersey plus light mid layer such as patagonia r1 half zip depending on the temp. I also have a couple of cycling wind vests. I usually layer a vest over a LS jersey or SS jersey plus arm warmers. I seldom squeeze anything underneath any of my jerseys. That is, my jerseys tend fit more like a 2nd skin. Where as my jackets are snug but stretch enough to allow 1 or 2 thin layers. The vests are bit more form fitting than the jackets and i never wear more than 1 layer underneath them. That’s how i roll.

i reserve my goretex hard shells for true winter riding or other winter activities.

I'll take "Things that never happened" for $600, Alex.

I'd bet big money that Rev160 will not be appearing as a GQ model anytime soon. I'm sure his mother loves his looks though.
