Vintage Cyclecross - Bikes and History
Cant find a thread here about old Cyclecross Bikes - and maybe Cyclecross History so i open this thread.
When i am to stupid to find an older existing thread - please dont hate me and link it in - either if you think that this
could be better a thread in the cyclecross and gravel Discussions, threads - than i have to say sorry.
If i didnt make a mistake....than....
I love the old steel cyclecrosser and i love history - let us share our bikes - show your bikes, let us share our knowledge.

I start with the cyclecross bikes of my collection
- 1949, 1950 Riva Sport, they sponsored a small cyclecross team including the first World Champion Jean Robic 1950
- 1960 Schumacher, a small German Frame builder at that time
- 1968, 69 Gitane Super Corsa - in the dark blue, brombery colour that either the anquetil bikes used
- 2009 Cresta Titan Frame - my dayly driver with 3x9 speed Ultegra group
The Pictures i will do in the next 2 days and i first have to learn how to install them here - cause i am a newbie.

@kissnos Welcome. Looking forward to seeing your bikes. Seems like you have a wonderful collection!
In terms of posting photos, there are a couple of ways most people do it here. One way is to click the "Go Advanced" button next to the "Post Quick Reply" button below. Then, on the next screen, click "Manage Attachments" and upload your photos from your computer or device. Another option is to post your photos to a photo hosting site such as Flickr and then instert the BB code directly into the thread reply.
In terms of searching for old threads, the search engine on this site is not great. You'll have better success going to google and searching "Site:bikeforums.net" and your desired keywords.
Cheers, Randy

Hello Randy,
thank you so much for your answer, that helps me a lot not to spend a lot of time to find out how to put
pictures in this thread - and thanks for the information to search threads in this Forum.
Yes, i have a little collection, i collect old race cycles since 2011 and in reason that i am a poor guy it was
not possible for me to buy all the shiny italian stuff like old Colnagos and Pinarellos - so i did something else
- i bought other bikes - with no pantho parts, no c records and anniversary groups

just changed, my communication - that is real crazy.

There's a thread here: https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-v...oss-bikes.html
I'm not objecting to starting a new one, just saying really.

I know they are very rare in Southern California. When I was racing and wanted one AND was willing to pay good money, I couldn’t find one. I did get a LeMond Propad in my son’s size. I should have kept it as it would fit my grown daughter now.

While CX is not really my thing, I did pick up a couple of frames, by way of collateral.
This is a Belgian frame, I suspect, that needs more TLC than I have been able to give it so far:
This Alan is still hiding in my attic somewhere:
