Addiction 2021.3

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have a feeling this will be a downgrade from the Pro4 it's replacing bit I got it free when the Equinox was phased out for the Equinox 2, so I might as well ride it for a bit.

You can always identify a dogwood by its bark.

That’s a couple of notches better than “He wouldn’t STFU”, because that would have swung the “pleasant “ rating over to “a PITA”.

My club has a ride today where we meet another club halfway between our two towns. It’s an annual Fall event for both clubs called, “Meet in the Middle.” It’s a fun, relaxing day with no heroics or PRs or other hormone infused riding through there will be a few knuckleheads, I’m sure.

That's a white oak. There are several other oak species in your neck of the woods. And in New England.

They're generally broken up in to two categories: Red and White oak. There are several species within each, but they'll share a lot of common traits within those classifications. For trees with foliage, the easiest way to tell them apart is the leaves. Red will have the pointy leaf tips whereas White will have the rounded lobes.

A friend has a place @8300 feet in the mountains and she has been mountain biking up there for the last few months. She's a good climber when she's out of shape so after a summer up there she goes to another level.
She invited me to go mountain biking today and gave me several options. I wussed out and picked the easiest route, I think she was a little disappointed. Not the first time I've done that.
