Addiction LXXVIII

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm giving some of the random people on the fly-bys kudos. Seeing how long it will be before someone responds. One person is a repeat from yesterday.

It just doesn't look as good on an aero frame.

This was two separate activities--a morning and evening one, near where I live.

Co worker swears by them, look kind of unique.
They were a big hit with triathletes a few years ago. Our remaining stock is collecting dust, now that triathlon's popularity has waned around here.

Why don't you do that here?? Odds are 100% that riding is better in the foothills. SMH.

What happened? Have the lakes remained frozen this year?

Got an invite for MTB group ride Sunday.

Should I say "I'll go but no one is allowed to pass me.". ???

A frozen lake sounds so good right now. Super hot and humid days yesterday and today.

explain closing speed to him and the difference in impact speeds.
car 60 mph, you wrong side 15 mph =75 mph impact.
Car 60 mph you with traffic 15 mph =45 mph impact

Today’s ride is postponed. Gonna go have a driveway visit with my parents. Initial plan was to ride this morning and go to NJ in the afternoon but now going early because summer heat.

I'm pretty sure a 45 mph impact would be really bad, too.

The main benefit is the driver has more time to see you and avoid the impact.

Got some closeouts for a rider with good birthing hips? Asking for a friend.

This morning ride went better than the last time I rode after a long ride. Legs had power, and my body didn’t feel fatigued. My arse was just killing me, I had to keep standing up to take the pressure off of it. I was wearing my worst pair of bibs, but it’s never hurt that bad.
My pinky and ring finger in my left hand have become useless. I couldn’t open my sun glasses or get my phone out of my pocket while ai was riding. It’s not like I am left handed or anything.

Y’all wizards got any magic to combat this or do I need to HTFU and learn how to write with my right hand?
