Hi All,
I have a Fairdale Rock****ship frame that I am going to be building up: https://shop.fairdalebikes.com/produ...-enve-fork-kit
Frame allows for 12MM thru axles, and the ENVE fork does as well. I am looking to purchase DT Swiss GR1600 wheels for the bike: https://www.merlincycles.com/en-us/d...0c-198132.html
These wheels are:

NVM - just measured the dropouts on both the fork and frame. 100mm for the fork, and just about 142mm for the frame. Pretty sure its 142mm.

The frame is 142mm spacing with 12mm thru axle. And the fork is 100mm spacing with 12mm thru axle.
That spacing and axle size is what the Merlin DT Swiss GR 1600 wheels fit.
You are good. Post pics when you are done- I always liked the Fairdale road frames a few years ago when they pushed em hard. Shame they didnt find traction. The Goodship and Rockitship framesets were a great price.

The above comes in 24 or 32 spoke offerings. A couple forum members have bought these over the last two years and raved about how great they are. I have no experience.
You could contact prowheelbuilder.com too. A wheelset with H plus Son Hydra rims, Bitex RA12 hubs, double butted Sapim spokes, and brass nipples costs about $440. They are handbuilt and made with quality components. There are seemingly endless combinations available on their site and another option is their in house build that end up costing a bit less(i think). Multiple forum members have the house build for rim and disc brake bikes.
The GR1600 wheels you are looking at seem good too. Ive read reviews and each time they are viewed as good for the price.

mstateglfr Got it. Appreciate the input. Will do some research on Hope... I've only heard good things. Leaning towards the GR1600 set.
How has your experience been with Bitex hubs (if you have any).
Will definitely post pictures after the bike is done.

I have a pair of the Hope RS4 20Five and like them a lot. They get used mostly for road riding and I chose them over DT Swiss as they came with QR end caps which I needed. I have picked up a few DT Swiss wheelsets on the used marked since, but I don't have any real mileage on them to compare.
Anther option is the Shimano GRX WH-RX570 wheelset. Should be the same price everywhere so you can order through your local bike shop.

I would expect the DT wheels to be great and had they been around on Merlin when i built my most recent gravel bike, inwould have considered them for sure.

FWIW I love the bike. Not much else to say, so I'll put up a few pics. I intially had the natural look bar tape - that lasted about three rides before it looked like hell so I switched to black.
