Seems I forgot to post my latest acquisition here. Bought for mrs non-fixie, hoping it will fit the cockpit locker of out boat. That was just the excuse to buy it, BTW, as I have been lusting after one of these ever since I learned of their existence.

if i may, bOsscO . those are cut off brake levers....aka. dummy levers. just another hand position. usually folks mount them facing the other way to the rider, though

^^^ sometimes made by cutting down or ripping the lever arm off of parts-bin brake levers; or, in a more classy option, some are made as-is for the stoker on tandems.

Yes - "Dummy" levers designed for use on tandem bikes and were OEM on 1993 XO-1. This NOS example (never ridden) is presented as assembled by original bike shop after un-boxing several months back.

Spring has arrived! I posted this Submariner before, but since I have installed a new groupset during the winter to make riding on rough roads easies, I’ll post it again. New var tape and plugs from Kyrö Gin bottles. Not an easy task to get plugs for steel handlebars, right?

Microshift Advent X group, 11-48 cassette, a clutch derailleur and brifters to match. Oh, and a 37t Stronglight chainring. Unfortunately the cassette is not available in silver!

I have no need for this little cutie... but I couldn't resist.

It needs a little bit of love, some new brake levers, the adjustment lever for the seat post, a longer seat post and a taller stem. Otherwise, everything is minty original on it. Even has the original Bridgestone tires which are soft and supple, and have plenty of tread on them. The front brakes aren't even worn. Bought it from the original owner who's had the bike in storage for the last 35-odd years.

‘93 XO-1 that I bought new in that year. It’s done everthing from commuting to trail riding to centuries.
‘93 MB-2, the front suspension is a 2.35 Ritchey Megabite, all I’ve ever needed.
Will post some photos when able.

Well, I lucked out. It's a size too small but I'm making it work. (In the C&V world, sometimes you make do with what you find.) The nice gentleman I bought it from used it as his commuter when he owned a bike shop in WA many years ago, and since then kept it as a vacation bike here in WI. Turns out we're the same size, I didn't even have to adjust the seat post height or stem or anything. There are two very small dings on the top tube that I didn't discover until the next morning in better light but whatever, it's a used bike and it's still cool. Plus I didn't pay much for it to begin with. I'd say my favorite thing about it so far is having fat 26 in tires on a roadish frame. It'll get a light refresh this winter, along with some better tires.

Hello Bridgestone friends, I'm looking for some background on the Mile-112 bikes. In the catalogs you can see the Blue/White and the Space Violet/Purple Silver models but there are pictures of a mostly white version with red highlights (I'm too new to post links, but if you go to Sheldon's site here: bridgestone/1986/pages/10-julie-moss.html, you can see the white/red). According to Sheldon's site there's no mention of a Mile-112 from 1985.

Does anyone know if there were Mile-112s made in 1985 or if the White/Red versions are from 86 or 87?

Here’s my 59cm 1992 restored RB-1 that I built spring/summer 2021. I found the frame on eBay, to replace my red 1992 that I bought brand new in the summer of 92 from CB Sports in Crested Butte, CO so I could do some road training while I was racing MTB that summer. I sadly sold that first one 15 years ago, after having Wes Williams braze on canti posts and powder coat it in 1993, right after he’d moved back to CB and set up shop to start Willits Cycles. I found another eBay seller that made me the custom fillet brazed quill stem with a detachable 31.8mm faceplate to run modern bars. Sugar Wheel Works built my tubeless front wheel and Jason Hoorn (Trois Poules) built my rear wheel. Bike rides amazingly well, now I just need to find 27.0 post worthy of the project for the final piece. King Ti lowering aches and a custom tool bag that I sewed myself. Full modern 12speed mechanical build with a clutched RD.
