This inner tube is close enough in size right?
I went to go for a ride this morning and realized I had a flat. I had just rode a 10 mile neighborhood ride two days ago, but something got me without me noticing it and the tire was completely flat. I thought I had a spare tube, but not even close in size, my flat tube was a 29 x 1.9 - 2.35. I went to the Giant dealer that I bought the bike from and they said they did not have my size, so I went to another dealer (Trek). The guy brought out a Bontrager 29 x 1.75 - 2.125 and said it should work, so I bought two.
So it's a 29 x 1.75 - 2.125 close enough to my original size of 29 x 1.9 - 2.35. My tire shows 29 x 2.20 on the side.
Thanks in advance!

Going a "little" bit smaller in tube size is OK. The tube will inflate to fill the void although there are limits.
Going larger in tube size however is a problem as the tube is likely to kink and wont fill the void evenly.

It's ok to use a smaller tube. It will stretch and fill the tire up. I've used 700x32 mm tubes inside 700x45mm tires without any problems.

I use "close enough" size tubes in tires all the time.

No problem with a slightly small inner tube.
Even with too large a tube it still works fine. Air pressure will be equalized regardless of folds and kinks, but if it is folded the crease may eventually wear cause a flat.

I checked the tire and didn't see a hole so there's a win. When I was airing up the new tube I heard two seperately pops after 45 psi. Is that the sound of the beads snapping on the rim?

A deafening boom would be something different.
As far as sizing the tube.... go by the size of the actual tire, not the tube that was in it.
