New Carbon frame bike ...dent or paint issues?

I just bought a new carbon frame Cannondale supersixevo disc. I feel there are couple of paint imperfections on the frame. When I asked the shop keeper he said it is just the clear coat issue and nothing to be worried about and anyways the frames are life long protected. But I am dicy on that only...this is my first carbon frame so wanted to check...as i am new user, system not allowing to post pics...please let me know...if we trace the finger i can feel a very minor bump but shop owner says it is just clear coat imperfection

You can't 'dent' a carbon frame. You can knock the paint or clear off of it or you can break it. Dent...no, not possible.

I bet its fine. I hear too many stories about people new to carbon bikes thinking they are fragile.. they are not.

I gouged the chain stay on my carbon bike and still road it 35 miles home. I brought it to 3 shops and all 3 said it looked fine, but could be 101% sure for legal reasons.I decided to send it out and have repaired just because i'm anal about about things.

New carbon cannondale super sixevo top tube soft to press

Hi all

i just bought my new carbon cannondale super sixevo and noticed there was very minor bump on top tube. If I press the top tube by hand it squeezes little bit.. is it normal?

Maybe. It's not unusual for some tube sections on carbon bikes to be well under a millimeter thick. Why don't you ask the dealer that you bought it from?

No it's not normal. It could be serious or it could just be the clear coat lifting. Take it back to the shop let them assess it and go from there. Good luck.

Have you actually ridden this bike yet, or are you still inspecting it with a magnifying glass?

I think you're checking too much. It's a bike, not a fetish object.
