Shimano Saint Pedals - LAST MINUTE ADVICE

Hi guys - I am about to pull the trigger on a set of Saint pedals (PD828 or something like that) ... anything I should know first?

I have been banging around on a cheap set of nylon composite pedals long enough to know that I enjoy platforms enough to get some decent ones. The alloy/$100-range pedal is a crowded field. I lean toward the Saints because 1) I could give two ****s about weight 2) Shimano is hard to beat in the matrix of cost and quality 3) I like the design characteristics (many pins, pedal shape, aesthetics (yes, sorry)

I was thinking about those but went with One Up composites. If I had to get metallic pedals One Up's would also be my choice. Great pedals.

No, don’t get those! These heavy duty downhill competition pedals when used on your daily trail commuter will surely will explode and kill you! Gosh, I hope I’m not too late.

PD-GR500, the old Saint pedal. Sealed bearings, adjustable length pins (add remove washers), cheaper and lighter than Saint.

Been riding on worn out DMR V6 $20 plastic pedals, I think the risk of injury is worse on those!
