New bike day for me 2021 Trek FX 5 Sport
Very happy so far, upgraded from a 2012 Trek 7.5FX, which I bought in the 15 inch frame size and it felt like it fit me OK at the time. But since Corona started I took up cycling again and have been at it pretty diligently, trying to go for a ride every day, and I found the frame was too small. So luckily my LBS has this one in stock. After the test ride I knew I would like the larger frame. Of course the bike hardware is better, it brakes amazingly and shifts super fast. Will be upgrading the tires (from my old Trek) and installing fenders this weekend.
Guess the site will not let me post a photo until I have ten posts. Will post a photo when I can!

Still haven't reached ten posts to post a photo. Interesting that there is very little chatter about the FX5. It's mostly either the FX4 or FX6. Interesting. I preferred the gearing on the FX5 over the FX6, and the difference between the 105 and Tiagra group set didn't phase me at all. The Tiagra is a massive step up from the 2012 7.5FX this bike replaces.

Finally I can post a photo of my new bike. Am having fenders installed this weekend (Honjo Turtles) and will install the tires I recently had installed on my old Trek (Rene Herse Bon Jon Passon to this new one, with these going on the old bike to sell. Also putting a new front light on with the Blendr adapter. This bike is the smoothest funnest bike I've ever owned.

Congrats on the new ride! I just picked up a FX 2 yesterday to use while I am in Florida (currently splitting time between home in Georgia and central FL, helping aging parents). I have one short ride in on it so far, but the blendr system is on my list of things to research! Ride on!

Thanks for your kind replies. I got back from Portland yesterday afternoon and have the Panaracer tires installed as well as the new headlight and tail light (Bontrager using the Blendr mount in the front and hanging off the seat bag in the back). Decided to hold off on the fenders for the summer.
Here's the Sunday afternoon bike parking at the local watering hole in Portland near my buddy's home. It's a very bike friendly area and we rode all around the neighborhoods and had lots of fun. The beer in Portland is the finest anywhere I've been.
