Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sad.
I prefer not to stop for a pee while riding, so I prefer to hydrate while dehydrating.

If I prehydrate, I will likely have to violate state and local decency statutes and could hold up a group ride. So very, very, not cool.

In the hotel the other day, as I prepped for a ride, I noted how very few things can induce my urge to pee as reliably as putting on bibs. I had pissed ten minutes earlier, but that didn't matter.

I didn't have a good pic to post the other day when we were posting pics of ourselves, so I took one.

I am reliably informed that this looks like me. Pay no attention to the helmet pad divots at the top of my forehead. They're not a permanent feature. Sadly, neither was my hair -

This is me, and the not-yet-Mrs. GeneJockey, about 7 years before she proposed to me.

I was pretty sure that you were either Rowdy Roddy Piper or Bruce Campbell. I guess that I was wrong on both counts.

My favorite ones to swap in are a demo pair of orange Crank Brothers Stamps - they make any bike look like they're wearing clown shoes but are reliably quiet

Ah, finally the truth about anti-pre-hydration emerges . . .

The numbers? They really show up on Z with lower prices than the MLS? I had known it wasn't 100% accurate of what's out there, but I thought it was realistic. At least for what I'm using it for now, which is trying to figure out what sort of stuff is in that area. If we do go there I'd certainly be working with an agent.

My problem is the coffee pee a couple of hours after coffee + water. With AG we leave later so it's a bit less of an issue.
