I truly hope there will be nothing to report.
In other news, to effect quick passes of other cyclists out this morning, I did dial it up to 400w to pass several times. It doesn't actually feel like much of anything for that duration. Not sure what that guy was on about.

Speaking of the borg, I was getting ready to ride yesterday, and I all of a sudden heard water running. My acute sense of hearing and diagnostic prowess soon discovered the water heater **** the bed. Last time it crapped out, it was a hurried, replacement, and pure luck I grabbed one that was the right diameter to shove into the space it was in. That time, it was at night, and I made it to the borg about a half an hour before closing time. A wing and a prayer, and it worked for 13 years.
This time, it was re-plummed, re-floored, and a thing of beauty. Of course, my ride was postponed, and today I have a combo of all things hard. It's worth it, because I can't imagine the mess had it failed 30 minutes later.

Happy to be able to squeeze in a metric this morning. Really windy, though - one of those days that served as a constant reminder to stay low. Now I need to pump up the tire in the wheelbarrow and get my pitchfork ready - the wife is having 8 cubic yards of mulch delivered and you can prolly guess who gets to be the beast of burden.

Now in fairness, if I hadn't been treating AG like a fence and just sprinting uphill to her wheel, I could probably have gone a little higher and definitely longer. But yes, if we did a ride together, you'd be treating me like a draft horse for 59 miles and then ripping past me to the parking lot.
Everyone likes a tri geek when it's windy out.

Mine was pretty windy too. Probably bit off a bit more than I should have, I was pretty shelled at the end.

Nope. I had entertained the idea of a metric, but within 10 miles I was starting to question the entire ride. On fumes by the end of a shorter ride. Not a great experience.

No surprise that the knees and ankle were bothersome, but also I had little power and my heart seemed to be working noticeably harder than "normal." Not a great combo when facing hills and headwinds.

Ive got some (soon-to-be-pulled) pork in the smoker.
Several days ago, I ordered heavy cream as a pantry item from a local restaurant. Half gallon, $6. The idea was to make buttermilk panna cotta.
The exp date on the cream is Wednesday of next week, so I’ve been on an ice cream making kick.

We are going to a friends house Tuesday night for socially distant tacos in their backyard. Cinco de Mayo and their anniversary.
We’re bringing dessert
