The Race Video Thread!

A non-USAC crit at the Texas Motor Speedway. Me and one teammate. Rival team (my old team) with 3 guys. I let my teammate roll off the front at about 33:45. It works, he gets a gap and goes, and then the case is on. I sat in letting other guys work. W/o bragging or anything, I was pretty sure I was the strongest guy in the field. I didn't stay on wheels quite like I should in the finish (I need to work on that). The group caught my teammate in the last turn, and then it was me against my former teammate, mano a mano in the sprint. See the video to see what happens!

@rubiksoval re: your now-deleted comment about the Folsom crit head-butting, I get ya.
But nobody in this race was upset about it, we're all friends and it was all smiles afterwards. (except that I was sad my leadout only got us 2nd, but I had to go too early/pull off too early).
I don't necessarily disagree that the head butting was unwarranted, but people get excited coming in to the last corner!! To me it seems tamer than bar banging.

Both guys seemed totally fine with it afterward. Kudos to Timmy for not giving in, too.
I was too far back to see any of the finishing action, but get an up close view of Matt’s teammate crashing. Looked terrible. Hope he’s ok.

The road rash on his lips makes it hard to eat though, apparently.

Wednesday night crit. P/1/2/3. 37 or so starters. Went with another guy after a few laps. Two bridged up, then two more bridged up. Worked together until about 5 laps to go and then it got fiesty. Other guys played cat and mouse the last lap so the guy leading gunned it and we opened up a few seconds gap. Then sprinted for the win.

^ congrats again on the W! Looks like a fun weeknight race.
Catching up on my vids. Here's a local crit where I did a one-man leadout. It was hard. I hate leadouts.

I like to think we're cooler than those Sky dorks, so more like Quickstep if anything. Except we all have different bikes, and get paid in gourmet pizza.

Next time I'm up there visiting my step father I'll have to stop by there. Always support companies that support the sport.

True - they get free Specialized bikes and win alot..
But this year they're focusing on gravel grinders or something.
Ok so maybe we're more like Lotto Soudal? Anything but Sky dammit!

First time for me to race past May in my now two seasons. 9th in the A race after doing the B race as well. 13 of 25 riders were DNF. In strong winds.

Wednesday night crit. Started my gopro 10 minutes in but apparently it was being stupid and said the memory was full even though the card was cleared. And then it wouldn't turn off and just got super hot, so I stuck it in my fridge overnight until the battery completely drained...That was a bummer.
Anyway, group of 5 rolled halfway through the first lap and everyone just sat up. So a lap later I jumped and did 590w for a minute to bridge the 15 or so second gap. It hurt. Ended up being a break of 7 and we lapped the field 28 minutes in and then chilled for a while and then I won the sprint.
