How can someone on a forum tell you which bike to buy from looking at two pictures that do not tell much about the bikes. Which one, if either, fits you? Which one is in better shape with better components? What is your budget and what is your bike for?

I'd go with the first one because the second, apparently, can only be ridden on a ceiling.

Paralysis by analysis.

Buy something before the riding season is over.

At first is was ‘This or That’. Now its ‘This or this’. I was going to pick ‘That’ but now that there are two ‘this’s”, I will have to go with ‘this’.

Need far more details on the bikes like weight, components, condition and fit. Like rumrun said, ride both and let your butt be the judge.

Well, the tires will last longer on the upside-down bike.

Test ride them both and then make your own decision which of the two you prefer. Don't let other people choose your bikes for you.

Unless he's gonna ride it 'Down Under', which would make it right-side-up.

Who is it (other than Europeans made maps first) that says that North has to be 'up' on the globe? There is no 'Up' in space, yet in every TV show/movie that shows space travel, the space ships are always shown with the 'top' of the ship 'up' on the screen? - even when two ships are shown, they are almost always both shown in the same orientation.

My Old Man was thinking about marketing a South-up globe for the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney as a novelty item- "What's Up Australia". It is not the dumbest idea he ever had... For instance, who woulda thought that Pet Rocks (1975), a singing fish (Big Mouth Billy Bass - 1998) and other such nonsense would sell like they did? There one born every minute...
