Gravel tires
Where can I get decent tires for 27 inch wheels to ride on a gravel trail in New Jersey.

On the front wheel they will ruin the steering feel. The tread pattern does not handle the loads correctly, so the transition between straight-line riding and cornering is abrupt.
Hard to believe that they went into production without road-testing, though there have been other tires with similar sorts of issues such as Panaracer's "TT Radial" tires.

There is a Panaracer Pasela in 630-32 (27 x 1 1/4). That would be my choice. Maybe hard to find, though. My usual suppliers all seem to be out of stock.

Any tire with similar height-to-thickness tread elements would also suffer the same inability to support responsive steering.

I'm also a fan of the Paselas. The larger ones fit my Raleigh International if I install the rear tire deflated.
The tread is good for most uses except mud, which this bike wouldn't be optimal for anyway
