And the comments are awesome as usual.
There is so much fail in that comment.
Testicular cancer. Women also get some form of ailment from bicycle seats. I stopped riding bikes because of numbness and realizing that riding my bicycle in LA is somekind of oxymoronic thing. You can't do errands in LA with a bicycle. If you can, then walk, which is better. Commute? Prrfft, please, unless you're close to your home, go for it, but if its long distance, good luck.
Hipsters are trying to San Francisco-ize/Critical Mass-isize Los Angeles. But it doesnt work and is frankly, stupid and pretentious.
Let me give you an example off how this is stupid - if you have a bunch of bicylists all in mass riding down two lane streets like Temple and similar, you're stopping traffic and or slowing cars down to a one lane which many of these hipster rocker bicyclists linger into with no care to their safety or the flow of traffic. Thus - when you stop cars or slow them down you actually make those cage multi-tonned boxes of steel expel more greenhouse spewing gasses and exhaust since after YOU bicyclists slowed down traffic. In other words - the cars POLLUTE MORE and USE up MORE GASOLINE in order to move past you or as a result of your infestation of the streets.
I see so many idiotic little rocker kids taking up one lane on Beverly during rush hour when they could easily go on the side walk and ride. Many a byclist actually avoid the sidewalk and slow traffic down.

The sociopathic brand of cage dwellers certainly are pissed off about other legitimate roadway users. I'd wager that hypocrite who posted that tripe gets bummed out when they are stuck behind a bus, or have to wait for a light rail train at a crossing.
Long Beach needed to step up. Their previous Police Chief was anti-bike and it showed in my wanderings around over there before. Hopefully the city will flip a bird at the NIMBYs on 1st street and make it a bicycle boulevard.
