5 bikes when this thread started, now 6. (Listed in order of arrival to me.)
1979 Peter Mooney built for me to be able to do everything but race. Now an elegant road fix gear. About to do 1st Cycle Oregon
2008 TiCycles ti road bike. Done 3 Cycle Oregons.
2010 1983 Trek 4something winter/rain/city fix gear. Continuation of a line of those that dates to 1976.
2011 TiCycles ti road fix gear. 1990 road race bike for a different world without gears or freewheels. Done 5 Cycle Oregons.
2015 1973 Carleton Raleigh Competition winter/rain/city geared bike
And several weeks ago ~1990 Pro Miyata. Lots of rust, lots of fun! Might do my last Cycle Oregon.
Two frames I won't pass on. ~1990 sport Peugeot (Team Dumpster!) set up fix gear that inspired my ti fix gear and an early '80s Schwinn LeTour I had the steerer drilled from Schwinn's 7/8"(?) to 22.2 to fit a custom stem. Replaced by the Competition. Both retired.

I had 20-something, but have been working on reducing that and now have a few empty vinyl coated hooks in the shed.

My wife has set the limit at 5 bikes, so I recently sold the 1985 Raleigh Competition to a co-worker's son:
1.) 1992 Schwinn Paramount (main bike)
2.) 1989 Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra SLX (Sunday go to meetin' bike, back-up bike for bike #1)
3.) 1994 Cannondale H300 Hybrid (putter around town bike, bike I would use if anyone ever invited me on a gravel ride)
4.) 1994 Cannondale H300 Hybrid "Killer V" frame (wife's bike)
5.) 1995 Cannondale R900 2.8 frame (son's bike, set up with 700 x 28 tires and a rear rack with panniers for city commuting/grocery shopping rides)
I don't really think the limit of 5 bikes as listed above should qualify as 5 bikes since my son lives in Baltimore (yes, he has a Kryptonite NYC lock) and his bike doesn't live in my garage, it just comes home for visits for maintenance and fix-ups. I think I should be allowed to add another bike. Also, I wouldn't know what to do with a bike that was less than 25 years old...
