On the Saturn theme. I have a Saturn jersey I still wear, so does a buddy. A local shop owner, back in the day, as a dealer won a week of training with the Saturn team and also received a bike. He used a borrowed team bike at the time and his bike came after. It's a GT if I remember correctly. Another guy I ride with occasionally has a carbon team Saturn bike ( I think it's a Trek)

Yeah, I don't know about that. In my world, the more privileged you are, the more likely to cops are to leave you alone.

look at cost, benefits, EPO/HMO vs PPO network. Look at specialty drug copays etc. there’s more to consider, if you want to PM me links I can tell you difference.

Velo Vol they look about the same, based on what I can see, L has a lower out of pocket max and may be a better fit considering the cost of remicaid.
They both use an EPO network so your out of network benefits are essentially non-existent. Check and make sure all of your docs are in network, otherwise you may get screwed.
The other thing to consider is if you pay more for your coverage under the L plan vs what it saves in OOP max.

By the local yokels or the troopers? I find the troopers to be much more professional.

It’s just so friggin obvious that it irritates the hell out of me. Coming home from a softball tourney one night one of the mom’s blew through a speed trap at about 80 in her fancy Mercedes SUV, I was going 72 in the middle lane passing a guy in an older civic doing probably 70- guess who got pulled over.

Cops in my area are a mix. I’ve had good and bad experiences. Interesting when I was in the wrong the cops were usually pleasant, when I was in the right that’s when they were jerks. Funny how that works.

When I drove out to Bullhead City, I was in my 95 integra. Coming through flagstaff I had been with a group of about 8 cars we were pushing 110 mph. I had to stop for gas so I lost the group. Coming down the mountain I was prolly doing 105 or more and I saw a flash of white in the median. I immediately just pulled over, I think I was stopped before the cop even got his lights on. He was cool, was shocked by how fast I stopped and gave me a warning.

I've only been pulled over for speeding once. I was a teenager. VA trooper pulled me over for doing 67 in a 55 mph zone.

I seem to only get pulled over in the Jeep. The last time was in my neighborhood, and the guy said I was doing 41 in a 30. I know that was BS because they were sitting on that road for weeks since the road just opened to the freeway, and I saw the copper on his bike while I was stopped on my street waiting to turn onto the street. What he radared was a USPS truck that was behind me, caught up to me, and then passed me.
USPS doesn't generate money for the city. People like me do.

I got a ticket for jaywalking while white once. Seriously.
I was in a trial in downtown Fort Worth in the '90s. During a lunch break, my co-counsel and I were walking to a lunch spot with a judge we both knew (not our trial judge in that case). As we approached this one intersection, we saw a police car on the sidewalk with lights flashing, TV news crews everywhere, and a bunch of people hanging around. So, we walked across the street to see what was going on, when a black cop on the sidewalk motioned for me and the lawyer I was with to come to him. He told the black judge that she didn't need to stop. He then wrote us tickets for jaywalking, something that has never been enforce in downtown Fort Worth.
On the news that night, we found out that the cop was protesting some police pay raise issue, and was complaining that the rich white people in town were treated differently than blacks (he was probably right), and was writing up white jaywalkers to make a point.
We ended up with deferred adjudication conditioned on not getting caught jaywalking for 30 days.

Back when there was a national 55mph speed limit I got pulled over for doing 60mph. He didn't write a ticket but he lectured me about being a "bad influence on other drivers". I wonder what he thinks about the chaos on our roads today.
Another time I passed an LAPD motorcycle officer on the freeway, (they don't patrol the freeway, he was probably on his way to work). I was over the speed limit, don't remember how much, but he pulled me over. I said I didn't think he would "eff" with me and he laughed. I got a warning.
Last time I got a ticket was in 2005. I made a u-turn in front of two bicycle cops who were talking to a hooker on the sidewalk. There were no other cars on the road. I was sure he would just warn me so I was a little surprised when he wrote the citation. I told him it was my first ticket in 30 years. He looked to be about 27 or 28 and had a weird reaction to me telling him that.

I have one bike that is full 105, except the hubs. They are 600. As it happens, I'm building that bike right now, after a repaint. When that's done, I will tear down the third of three, to repaint. Then I should be done with paint for a number of years.

I got pulled over a few years ago in the Saturn. The local cop would not initially tell me why when I asked. I gave him my license/registration, he must have run it through and found nothing, but then told me the reason is my rear brake light was not working. He give me a ticked that I was able to get waived by fixing the problem within 2 weeks.

I have never been pulled over for speeding. I have been driving like a grandpa my whole life. I used to use a radar detector just so I knew where they were hanging. Speed traps and the like. I was mocked for that radar detector, since I drive so slow.
