Even in great shape Huffy + 3 speed = about $150 max, There are just a tone of 3 speeds to be found that are nicer bikes in great condition that can be found well under $200.

It's made in Germany so that's not an accurate statement from what I'm told

Given its a women's style, value is less than above IMO. If you have been told its worth more, ask them to show you the money. Some people rattle off values with no intention to buy. It's just a random comment at that point. I have found some bike shops can be the worst with this. Some will inflate the value to justify the sale of replacement tires or service. Other shops will tell you it has no value. Its a mixed bag for sure. Expert in a shop in my. area told me "any bike over five years old is obsolete and worthless."

Women's style 3 speeds have just a fraction of the value of men's style.

The auction site I am familiar with requires careful packing and shipping. I tend to sell the upper end stuff there, that makes the time/effort worth it.

I don't see anything to indicate this bike was made in Germany the paint and and Huffy 3 speed hub indicate it is a late 60's early 70's bike made in Dayton Ohio.

That bike wasn't made in Germany. It was likely made in Celina, Ohio but could have also been made in: Azusa, California (closed in the late 1970s), and Ponca City Oklahoma (closed in the early 1980s), but Huffy largely manufactured most of their bicycles in Celina.

I'd put it on craigslist and FB marketplace for $1500.00 obo.

Also I just spotted it has a original BMA decal which pretty much confirms it is a early 70's Ohio bike surprised I missed it the first time.

Yeah, I mean if you're gonna dream, might as well be delusional.

Suggest you offer it to whoever told you it was rare and valuable. Typically, once the topic of real money starts, those experts get scarce.
