Interlaced spokes have to bend out of the plane of the spoke. Tension on the spokes is going to lock those two spokes together with a significant amount of force. There can be some movement but it’s not much since you don’t see a lot of wear at that point in most wheels. It happens but, in my experience, low tension spokes show more wear than higher tension spokes do. Look at your spokes that aren’t interlaced and braced against each other




Now look at a traditional J-bend spoke with interlaced spokes that are braced where they cross. You can see the bend of the spoke at the green arrow. The outer spoke is also slightly bent. That presses the spokes together and doesn’t allow them to move all that easily. It would be difficult to slip anything between those spokes because of the tension between them.



This picture that streetsurfer posted from your video shows that there is significant movement in your spokes. I’m assuming that this wear is at the spoke contact point low on your wheels.




zip ties are a cheap and easy test, so I'll give it a try. I could use safety wire, but it's pretty sharp and I don't want to damage the spokes.

Is the intent to put enough friction between the spokes so they don't slide against each other, or to damp vibration?
The former seems.... really hard.
I doubt that zip ties (or wire) would provide the friction you’d get from interlaced spokes but they might increase the friction somewhat and reduce the vibration. It’s not a permanent solution but should let you see if reducing the vibration will get rid of the noise
