Last time I did Maltese my entire team crashed out on the last lap. I was on the eventual winner's wheel (a guy who would soon get popped for doping) and through horse**** alley I was getting pummeled with elbows for the wheel. Realizing I had no teammates even left in the race I sat up and soft pedaled in. I have no interest in big money 1,2 park races. Add to it a 5:30 am start. It's a circle of hell I have no need for.

Does anyone know anything about this race? I can't seem to find any details... like when my race would start.

Wrong thread?

I know you've been in the field with him, but I don't think you've ridden much with him. If you saw, you might understand.

Have any of you done Brownstown? I'm thinking about doing that this weekend to mix it up with some unknown dudes.

Yup I'm local and do the race typically each year. Rolling country roads, with a sprint finish that has a kicker to a slight uphill drag to the line. What field 2/3? Course is yellow-line rule, which is heavily enforced. I enjoy the course, it's typically low traffic and offers up some good opportunities, but certainly not overly challenging. Let me know if you have any questions.

Yup, 2/3. I think I'm gonna do it, I remember loving the Tour de Ephrata's road circuit. The racing in PA has it's own particular flavor.

Let me know if you race. Would be nice to finally meet some BF peeps! I race for Swashbuckler Brewing Company, looking for some redemption this weekend with my bad-luck that happened this past Sunday's race.

Plus then I know which wheel to follow or come with me for a break!

Signed up for Longsjo on Sunday, the only 5 race that also has 44 4s. Should be fun. Nowhere on the site does it give a start address, parking info, or registration cutoff times. Am I missing something?

longsjo.com. Every bit of what you are *****ing about is in the Technical Guide.

You park on the street off the course. The course on Sunday is blocked off. I usually move a barrier and park on a side street between turn 6 and the start finish. There's a church nearby so stay away from that.

Cat 4/5 on Sunday is full so you will take your chances on day-of.

Turn five is the only dangerous turn on the course.

I made it in under the wire with pre-reg. And thank you, I didn't get that far down the page on my phone.

Most of the large, historical races have technical guides. They contain important information for both riders and officials, so keep an eye out for them. Sometimes the promoter will link them on bikereg, but not always, so check the event website.
