I'm giving Limerock another go. Plus the parking lot is finished so everyone can park closer, or so they say.

Looks like I might be able to get away for a long weekend in the first half of August to do a stage race in the NE USA. Anybody have recommendations for a race?

Green Mountain!!!
uh
August?
You could take a chance on Catskills, but really that starts in July.

It's also always been a weird GC structure. It's based on placings, not time. lowest score wins. So if you finish 1st in TT by 4 minutes, but guy who finishes 2nd comes in 3rd and 5th in the crit and RR (so a total of 10) but you finish a half wheel behind him to get 4th and 6th (total of 11) he wins. so, it's more of a green jersey than a yellow jersey type of GC.
The town really seems to love having the race. There are no hotels in Millersburg, closest are in Harrisburg about 35/40 minutes away, but the town does have guest housing where you can stay with someone. My teammates have a guest house that they've stayed in, it's an older lady who feeds them like they're her grandchildren. I'm planning to get in on that this year.

fun race. TT on sat a.m., it's been an out and back past few years but I think it might be different for this one. absolutely brutal downtown crit on sat. afternoon. fun RR on sun. a.m. the RR is honestly pretty flat, there's one climb that takes a couple of minutes to go up but otherwise it's all big ring with a downtown technical finish.

Like others have said Millersburg is a great race. Pretty sure TT is same as last year (out & back). Crit is hard, mostly because if you get stuck towards the back half you WILL get dropped and pulled from the race. We were well through turn 2 before the back was entering turn 1. RR is fun, climb is really nothing hard and could be done in big ring if you're strong. The finish is very fast though with a fast downhill into a right hander that is then full gas from there to.the line.
I also plan in doing Nittany although I'm a little worried, mostly for the decent. I've heard it's fairly technical and either this year or last there was a head on collision causing the race to shut down (this was the college road race). I know the climb will be very hard but feel I can hold my own and make up time other places.

Registered and accommodations booked for Millersburg. It is going to be my first stage race and my first race south of the border. Psyched!
