Addiction LXXX

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I remember our first visit to the sailmaker for a new genoa. We talked specs for a while and then she says, "Don't you think we should be looking at an asym too?" The room went quiet.

On the budget thing, LSS is a mental health professional and knows damn well I'd be on meds for anxiety if it weren't for compulsive and heavy exercise, so she considers it a good deal.

I need her to talk to my LSS. She makes me seem like a spendy guy.

I'm sorry to hear that. Common enough theme. Does she enjoy sailing at all?

I am very lucky in many ways.

Warum nicht die zwei?

Also, this LSS - I can put it together from context, but what's the acronym mean?

Two things happened - our son got on her saying that she was always complaining that I don't exercise enough so she should be happy that I wanted to, and she saw that the bike I was looking at also came in light purple and she had to have one also. Three months later we also bought road bikes to go with our original hybrids, and we are both hooked.

God bless my son.
Good story. Purple goes a long way.

There's the argument for taking up sailing as a sport - it make s what you spend on bikes seem like nothing!

Lance or some other big name said: Show me a dedicated cyclist, and I'll show you someone that's riding away from something.

The money I spend on my bicycle cycles is a mere pittance in comparison.

I suspect Lance's "dedicated" is a few levels of crazy above mine.

Same here. I gotta burn off the bad stuff that accumulates in my body from long periods of stress. I find that the best time to think about my problems, is when I'm on the bike, the stress that creates is excellent fuel for mad sprints and big ring climbs.

Friday the 13th used to be scary but in 2020 it’s like single-car incident in a Talladega race that’s already had six Big Ones.

Tell her that if you keep it for the whole month, post a pic here or pm me and I’ll donate $50 to the Prostate Cancer Foundation or Movember in your name.

Oh, and btw, my growth is embarrassing but my T last test in September was 25.3 ng/DL.
