I've resisted contributing to this thread because, of course, there's plenty of crazy on Craigslist.

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/bop...221017964.html

Adams Trail-a-Bike $300!!! 23.5 lbs. It's a boat anchor.

I had one on cl a couple of weeks ago for $90, after successfully selling one for $95 during the summer. Got zero inquiries this time of year. I'm waiting until spring.

I was gonna post this in the "are you looking for one of these" thread because it's a nice price for a 1995 Trek 750 despite some rust issues, but the title and ad text pushed it over into this thread. I bet it was fun to just make up a bunch of garbage on the fly!

1983Granddaddy 21 spd 26 in. mens LiteWeight racer.Trek racing×WorldClass.The French despise them. - $69 (Aberdeen, WA)

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...code=undefined

Today's History lesson. In 1975 Trek Racing bikes were started in a red barn in Wisconsin with emphasis I producing a world class lightweight AMERICAN RACING competition bike To rival the European spendy racers. They really took off with 1981 s model which was a virtual copy from 1981-83 made with light molybdenum steel with pedal arms sprocket seat neck handlebars and rims all made of superlightwieght T-6 alunimun heat treated alloy. Most people can pick this bike up with one hands$â. This one has near brand new tires and brakes but needs a chain and some fine tuning so it's not going To carry a price seen on places like eBay for $500-750. I'm. Pricing it to move so a person can invest a little inxthe companyxthqt helped the Americans win the Tour We France 6x in a row. 1999-05 and make this vintage bike proud again.this is a desirable bike as you see in the photos but it needs some love. One has a seriously light racing bike to work with on addition to near new tires(front still has the little rubber nubbons that haven't been touched much less wore down with expensive tires to start from treks sister parts company. factory tires.

Some individuals challenge themselves to start with an item, and trade up until "X". See here, Good Man!

It's just a guess why someone might not want cash.

condition: excellent

frame size: 55cm
handlebar type: drop
make / manufacturer: Schwinn
model name / number: Paramount Racer
serial number: P229

* Vintage Schwinn Paramount Racer Circa ~1955.
* Original paint, decals, and Modolo components.
* Reynolds 531 medium carbon steel construction.
* Single speed, owned by one person who took great care of the bike.
* A few scuff marks but in generally excellent condition.
* Piecing together serial number, Modolo years, and owner information bike frame #229 was built around 1955.

Plan to sell on ebay and expect price to be at least $3000. Thought I would try locally in Seattle first to see if a bicycle enthusiast here might be interested in picking up instead of me packing and shipping.

Respond here with questions or reasonable offers. Photos tell the story pretty well.

Thank you!

The bike is an ‘82 with foreknowledge of the outcome of the 1984 Olympics? It is a really nice bike though.

I’d give $45 just to see what those reflectors look like in headlights.
