Are Cyclists Introverts?
Cyclists seem to spend a lot of time on the road riding alone. So, are cyclists introverts but don't realize it...?

The more you ride a bike, the more bat s h i t crazy you become. I had a chat with an ex-rider who is now a coach, that if we didn't race bikes would we self harm? What we put ourselves through in the name of competition, how much pain we could deal with and then push harder to win

The only thing a true cyclist becomes is financially broke. The cost of new bicycles, lubes, & new parts requires a good income!

What does that say for those that only ride in a group?

For me, hanging out with people is different than hanging out with people while on a bike. To make an analogy, I'm a musician. I greatly prefer playing in groups. But being thrust into a group of musicians with widely disparate skills and interests, and trying to do something coherent, is tiresome for everybody involved, including the audience. In those situations, it'd be better if we just put our instruments away and broke out the beer.

yes, introverts are self aware. They need to be self aware to not find themselves in a situation they find uncomfortable to be in.

Considering that people who lean towards the introvert end of the spectrum make up about 25% of the population in general, it's likely that there are more extrovert leaning cyclists... even if the percentage is not exactly the same. In all the groups I've ridden with there were always plenty of extroverts around and they often rode solo too.

just because someone uses a bicycle to ride solo doesn't mean they're of a certain classification. Folks go to the gym & work out solo. Are they an introV? Might be, might not be; It depends. Why are they working out? Why is someone riding a bicycle by themselves? Could they be riding off stress? Lifting off weights for a free mind, running to be no where but lost in there own world? That person will only know the answer to your conjecture.

Your question seems to be based on the premise that we all ride alone.
