Actually, today’s workout was a slow “100k,”which would have taken about 2.5 hrs and I was doing fine at about 1:45 when 1. Apple Music radio stopped working and I had to pee and 3. I noticed I was putting out about 250W with no effort, which I quickly figured out was due to my tire going flat. So, I called it a day at 1:50 which, with my 15 min warmup, allowed be to claim 2 h.

The jacuzzi has been a lifesaver. First thing in the morning and the stiffness is gone. A couple times during the day to keep things loose.

Glasses repaired. In the past I've taken the wire out of a twist tie. This time I bought a meter of phone cable(a meter was the smallest piece I could buy). Cut and stripped one strand about 8" long. Wrapped it up and finished it with duct tape. The problem was that the screw got jammed and couldn't be removed from the top piece, but had stripped out of the bottom. Insert lens, insert screw into hole, squeeze while the one who can see wraps the wire. It'll hold till I can get some new frames.

Decided to try brevet pace partner today. I have a lot of pent up rage at my job at the current moment.
Started me right at the volcano climb, which you all know I excel at climbing……. I hung for about 6 miles. Stopped when I started feeling pressure in my knee, and realizing it was more work than fun.
Spent the rest of my time with cadence. I find cadence is way too easy, but brevet is way to hard. Wish there was a goldilocks version.
Most of the snow is cleared off the roads but the temperature has already dropped to 24 degrees. I am hoping to ride early in the am but I would be lying if I wasn’t concerned about the ice. main roads are clear, but getting out of my neighborhood will be a challenge. I have to leave again tomorrow, would like to get one decent outdoor ride before then.
LAJ i’m in denver tomorrow night.

Today we took a river trip in the Sumidero Canyon. At one point the sheer sides were 1000 meters high and the water was 100 meters deep. We later found out the river is dammed for hydroelectric power. It produces half of the entire country's power. A fun trip. Tomorrow is the last day, a museum. And more importantly, the last night.
