What is Shimano Flight Deck and what is Flight Deck compatible?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have a FD on my 2003 tandem, works perfectly, even after a zillion rain rides. It's not much use on a single, but on a tandem it can be hard to remember which ring I'm in, plus shifting the back around more than necessary is not good for Stoker's mindset. Both crankset and cassette are invisible to the captain. For some reason, the battery lasts almost forever. Front wheel speed pickup is nice too, for a wired gizmo.

It does matter which ring and cog one one is using, BTW.

I have mentioned this COUNTLESS times and it falls on deaf ears. I do think they could/should implement a code/rule that says that an OLD thread (say older than 1 year since the last update) should not be bump-able, except maybe by the OP or someone who participated in the thread, to update it.

Otherwise, a zombie thread is usually anachronistic and it's usually better to start a new thread anyway.

You're trying too hard. Trolling needs to be more subtle.

Why are you even posting on a bicycle forum? All of your posts are denigrating other members. You've contributed nothing, no humor, no information, no stories, nothing.
