OK, I've done a lot of reading on this matter, since this post, and I think I'll go back for a "harvest". 😉 The fact that the stuff is highly lethal, if misused, isn't lost on me, lol, and I've also read up on micro-dosing. 👍

But today and tomorrow, the Fort Mohave Tribe has their fall festival type thing (lucky timing for me), and a female I kinda know, invited me to come watch the Bird Dance. 😎 I figure I'd have to be an idiot, to not go. 😁😉
I have a strong feeling cameras (and smart phones) would NOT be welcome, but if I'm wrong, I'll definitely grab a few pics. 👍

20 years ago I went to a "powwow" in Montana while crossing the country. Their was a young boy in a decorative outfit with something on the back that I couldn't make out from my seating location. Looked through my camera zoom lens to see what it was. Shortly thereafter I was confronted by a tribal member about taking photos without permission and payment. Fortuitously, I had just popped a new roll of film into the camera and was able to satisfactorily demonstrate that I had not taken a photo.

Recently got back from a couple weeks on the road with several friends. Great weather, great companions, and excellent roads.... tough to beat.

Montana, you say? Was it a Blackfoot (or Blackfeet) pow wow? My mother said we were Heinz 57 American, on her side of the family, and have Blackfoot and Cherokee blood in us. I never did much research, until pretty recently. The Blackfoot Confederacy has 3 tribes, 2 in Canada & 1 in Montana. There was a 4th, that separated years ago, don't know just when or why, but it bears mention. 😉
Blackfeet is an Americanization of Blackfoot, which got it's name from the fact that they dyed their moccasins black, not from having dirty feet. 😁😉

And most folks are more familiar with the Cherokee nation, originally in what's now Georgia. 🙂

There was a Fort Mohave Indian Days parade this morning, that lasted 2 1/2 hours! I got way more pics than necessary, and need to pick out a few to post. The kids all got huge amounts of candy, most participants of the parade were throwing out big handfuls like crazy. They don't need Halloween, after that, but don't try telling them that. 😁😉

Don't think so. It was in Northeast Montana. Between Wolf Point and Culbertson. The Fort Peck Reservation is in that area. Sioux and Assiniboine.

OK, I'm gonna start a thread for the Fort Mohave Indian Days pics, cause even after deleting a bunch, I still have a bunch. 😁
But this morning, I got up early (4:30ish), and once it got light out, I rode down to Lake Havasu City, where the London Bridge was relocated to, some time ago now. I know, it's not that great of a pic, but not that bad either, since it's surrounded by hotels. 🙄

Actually, I'm on the way back to Phoenix, at least for a bit, to probably buy yet another bike. 😁😉

Just East of Hope, Arizona, you'll see this sign. 😁
And several miles further East, a nice grouping of cacti. I've only ever seen a couple of these together, and not nearly as well-developed. 🙂
And somewhere between the two, is some mountain, among several others. 😉

I finally figured out why I took that mountain pic above. The Hassayampa River is also known as the Upside Down River. 😁 So a nut case like me would naturally be drawn to it, wether we know why or not. 🤔😁😉

BTW, I got that bike I mentioned too, a 1995 Cannondale Killer V, for a great price. 👍 And no, it's not hot, lol, the previous owner is a school bus driver. 😉

Doug, the wings are beautiful aren't they? I've had the opportunity a few times to silently glide up in a canoe close to herons, and your photo immediately makes me recall the sound their feathers make going through the air upon take off.

And speaking of birds, lovely sunset silhouette shot, the kid catching up has such a great body stance.
At first I thought the blob in sky was a drone, but then I saw its a flying bird flying away or towards you.

Doug, I keep looking at that photo and am expecting the model train to come choo-chooing past the people in this diarama you've set up in your basement ;-)

Right on, Linus, your pics showed up. 👍 Better late than never, huh? 😁😉

Great pics though, worth the wait. 😎

As well as Doug's Prague pic, that's a good one too. 👍

Must have been fun, biking over that bridge is something not to miss if in that neck of the woods.
Polar opposite here (sic) we got a 20cm dump a few days ago, commuted on ye ol mtb with knobbies and low pressures. Fun sliding around, although had to be bundled up as this morning had -20c wind-chill.

I like winter and all, but yowzer, this was an early Bing bang boom into full on winter November 12....
