Folding tires quick question

Hello, i have an quick question. Folding tires are actually clincher version of tyre but they can be folded together right?

As opposed to having a wire bead. Makes them lighter.

The bead is kevlar instead of steel wire, so they can be fold. Otherwise basically the same.

Yup, and fold them as many times as you want. New tires get packaged folded over a few times too.

You can twist most standard bike tires into thirds. But, if not done properly, it will damage the tires.


Nonetheless, there are many advantages of the standard kevlar bead tires, and very few disadvantages.
