The gators ride absolutely dreadful on the madone. Set out with 75 miles in mind. By mile 40 my brain was so rattled by the ride I lost all interest in continuing my ride. Unfortunately, I was still 20 miles from home.
I wish the madone could fit 32s.
Taking the bike to the shop today to get my new cockpit, won’t be able to pick it up until Friday most likely.
Just passed 7000 miles for the year. I might be able to make my goal of 7500 after all.

I like the Giant Defy and the BMC Roadmachine and the BMC has the highest stack of anything I have looked at. I need that. Since I don't have a job any money I spend on a bike will come from savings and not be replaced, so it's a bigger decision than in the past.

Saw him. Did you see the backup QB for the Giants, he really looks like a Martian.

caledonia is a nice looking bike, but the geometry seems super relaxed. I’m surprised that so many like that. Don’t pay me any mind, I’m new and too far for this sport.

I always liked the quicker handling bikes with steep steering angles but I'm looking for comfort for my aging bones and the bikes with tall headtubes and big stack numbers generally have relaxed angles. It's fine, I'm not going to be racing any crits and even a touring bike handles good enough for most stuff. It's a bike, after all.

I looked up what aliens really look like, and it seems that they don't have the thick necks.

They do have the arms and chests of serious cyclists.

Second, maybe what people interpret as aliens are actually cyclists wearing helmets and sunglasses?

AITA? Is it too much to ask people joining your ride to wear a shirt?

I like the looks of the blue Caledonia and I think the geometry might work for me. I still fantasize about a new bike, especially when I do a long ride on crappy roads with the Seven. Sometimes I think what a great bike it is and sometimes after a long bumpy ride I don't want to ride it the next day so I take the Gunnar instead.

Someone, probably a vendor, brought in a box of donuts and left them in the break room, and my colleagues are not depleting them fast enough.
