Mid 80's Nishiki Cervino Frame+Fork

I recently picked up a bike that is too large for me, but needed to scavenge a few of the parts on it, so I'm posting the frame + fork + shifters for sale today. From what I have deduced (thanks to some assistance from @MauriceMoss) is that this frame is a 1983ish(?) Nishiki Cervino, made by Olmo for Nishiki from Columbus SL or SP. Its 60cm (60cm seat tube ctc, 56cm top tube ctc, takes a 26.4 seatpost). No labels and plenty of scrapes, but no dents or dings. Rust looks to limited to to surface only. Paint appears to be original. It has Campagnolo front and rear dropouts, nice cutout lugs and will include the Campagnolo shifters seen in the pics as well as a 26.4mm SR Laprade fluted seatpost (in ok condition). Sorry I need the seatpost bolt shown in the pics, so it will not be included. Lots of pics on this thread I have no idea of the value of these bike frames. Cant find too much info on them. So, how about $100 or best offer (paypal F/F) + shipping from Charlotte, NC? Happy to answer whatever questions I can!

Thanks! I wonder why aero top mounted shifters only lasted for a couple years? The internal shifter cables are pretty neat and clean.

Hi ciclimeacci .
I'm asking what has happened to the Cervino frame in the meantime?
It would be nice if the bare frame had turned into a beautiful racing bike.

Hey Oldsteeler I actually sold the frame and fork to a chap in CA who was going to restore it. I didn't see any updates, but hopefully its living a restored life!

hey ciclimeacci
so I also hope that this beautiful
Nishiki frame revives as a beautifully restored racing bike.
I'm a Nishiki collector far away in Germany. Most of our Nishiki top frames from the 70's and 80's are specific european models imported from Kobe/Japan .
But there are 3-4 top US frames from Nishiki that I would also like to have.
Your Cervino is one of them.

Read the thread. You don’t even need to read more than the post above yours.
