Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This shop is now a Nukeproof dealer. They're a mountain bike company, but they do have one dropbar model.

we just don't drive much, but my daughter enjoyed driving in it so much that i figured we'd make more time for it. but we definitely have not. i think it has something like 40k miles on it, pretty much mint except for a scratched front fender. i'd probably want to get that fixed before i sold it, which has been my excuse for not doing so....

Uh, Doc, can we go back in the examination room and talk bikes?

You know what's another racket? A state agency charging a fee for you to pay for your license.

If you pay the olde fashioned way, the way people paid for decades, they charge $5 extra. If you pay online, you see this.

If I went to the office in Brentwood and tendered the payment in cash, would they charge a fee for that?

Sidis have been ordered. Wire 2 Carbon Air.

It came down to those and the Lake 302s, but am trusting a bunch of people I’ve never met on the internet that the Sidis are better for my foot.

It is my favorite sort of day, a Friday-Payday. However, I'm not working today, and the deposit hasn't gone in yet anyway.

Sweet! My '75 and '84 Civics were hatchbacks. I'm pretty sure they were bigger on the inside than the outside.

I'm starting to wonder if the monthly SF Peninsula C&V Ride isn't cursed. Rained out FIVE MONTHS IN A ROW! And now, with the weather looking favorable for tomorrow's ride, my co-organizer has The 'Rona.
