^^^^^Nice old Stepside, '71-ish, still on the job. Up here, any trucks that old still on the road are not put to work. BTW, since the bike was "made in Australia", is that $60 in AUD?

As for Budget Bicycle, Roger claims to have the largest used bicycle dealership in the world. But it's no secret that it's really his personal museum. The more "everyday" '90s-'00s commuters and path queens there are more in line with other used dealers, perhaps a bit higher. He has hundreds of bikes the age/condition of that Miyata, and older, all priced in the stratosphere. It's the closest thing we have to a bicycle museum around here, short of going up to the Deke Slayton museum in Sparta.

By "nuance," you might think the seller means the cheap looking Japanese crankset on this otherwise decent looking example of a '70s Grand Record. But, no, he means the seatpost is stuck.

https://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/...131244240.html

Also, it's 74 ft long.

^^^^^ So unlike that 74-foot-long Motobecane, the Miyata is only 27 feet long.

Looking at all the rust on this Bianchi, At $600.00 CDN FIRM, I think it's quite a bit overpriced. Do others here agree?

https://www.kijiji.ca/v-bike-frames-...ike/1503206931

"Full campignolo components and mavic rear rim( with campi hub)
Price is firm either you want it or you don’t"

Ah, I don't think those Dia-Compe brake levers with the deteriorated hoods were made by Campagnolo. LOL

Also, I'm pretty sure it needs a new chain. I figure there's close to a couple of hundred dollars to get that into good riding condition. Front wheel, tire and tube and probably new cables and housing.

Cheers

Gator Bike
University Of Florida Gators Scraper Trike - $200 (Clearwater)

Selling my tailgate machine due to kids and life and it just taking up space sitting in my garage when it should be hitting the tailgates. My days of tailgating are far from over, but it’s such a chore to bring to Gainesville and I can’t get so drunk that I fall off of it multiple times anymore.

Buy this trike, and you’ll be the coolest person on campus. And your street, when you’re not tailgating. Also, just anywhere else you ride it.
Buy this trike, and you’ll be oh so hype, as the Trunk Boiz would say.
Buy this trike, and you’ll pick up multiple white chicks named Brittany, at the same time.
Buy this trike, and we will win the natty this year.

About the trike:
It’s a Woodward Custom (emphasis on the custom). It’s covered in the finest orange and blue spray paint and duct tape. New chain, bearings, tubes, tires when built a couple years ago. New comfy seat, just look at it. You’d sit on that. Yeah, this build was very spendy. Obviously it’s got a cup holder. This one’s wrapped in sexy PU leather, the finest cup holder Walmart had. Warning: if you’re on bumpy terrain at speed make sure you finished at least half your beer.

It’s got a flag but it’s falling off. This baby’s just too fast (just kidding, haulin’ it up and down 75 messed it up).

It does not come with the cooler, that is just there for display purposes in case you don’t have an imagination. I’d include it but my wife got it for me as a gift and once I realized it fit perfectly in the trike it’s basically lived there ever since. Or maybe it’s included if it makes the sale, who knows.

Fishing rod holders not included either. I just wanted to go fishing once so I ziptied them on. Or maybe they are included, we’ll see.

Everything else though, is included. Maybe even a cold beer in the cupholder after we shake on the sale. National Championship also included. I guarantee it.

Don’t have a truck to take it tailgating? No problem, I took it to Gainesville on the roof of my car once. What’s gas mileage?

Also included a pic of me stunting it when I first got it, how’s that for a transformation?

Also, if you’re considering this vehicle, you should know that I got pulled over by 3 UPD bike cops once. I thought they were going to give me a BUI, but they actually searched my cooler for bombs (seriously) and then declined to let me tag along with them the rest of their shift when they let me go. The point is, she’s got a high-profile.

P.S. I definitely didn’t get drunk one night and watch this video and incept myself into building a scraper:
Yes I did.

Go Gata

I'd feel uncomfortable paying over $200 for that. I mean, I'm no Bianchi expert, but I doubt that is a Super Leggera even. Even if you bought that, the components would need $150-worth of your time just to clean them up.

The amount of rust on t he cj=hain and the rear brake parts really turned me off at that price. And all the rust on the frame. I wonder if the seatpost and/or stem are seized and whatthe inside of the frame tubes and bottom bracket is like.

Way over priced in my opinion.

Cheers

found this pair quite a hoot

in the first link a charity has a base model Chiorda road frameset up for sale. it is the abosute bottom, constructed with bulge-formed head and plate style bridges

they began at 270 dollar and then reduced to around 190 dollar

second link is the same thing, even the same colour and from the same time, as a complete cycle for 13.50 dollars (just sold the other day)

I knew, after reading about half of this, before touching the link, that it HAD to be my local bike co-op, and sure enough, it is. They have some downright amusingly high prices on a LOT of their items, even on CL. They post their CL ads as "by owner", when, as a business, they really should be posting as "by dealer". But they're technically a non-profit and their prices are so deranged that I imagine they're selling precious few, so I give 'em a pass.

They could have at least pumped up the tires. "New tires and tubes"
And the price! I'l be darned if my mint '94 7000ZX is even worth that.

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/bik...128765394.html

I have a stored used Trek 7000.

New tires and new tube. Bike has been detailed and re-greased chain. Like new again.

Asking $300.00

If you still see this ad, then the bike is still available.

hey, I had a raleigh pro, just abou that frame size, in mink+silver, it was the sweetest frame I ever rode on. IIRC, it wasn't 531, it was Reynolds 752 or osmething. I had built it from the frame only, and it had a bunch of late 70s Campi SuperRecord on it.
