Made it day 3 and that was it after a day of manual labor had to have a few brews. Anyways day 3 is a record. But The CBD oil is a go. Takes the joint pain away.

We might have to start a thread about CBD oil, gummies, etc.

Apparently in the 2018 Farm Bill there was a provision to allow for THC Delta 8 (vs the Delta 9 in hippie lettuce) to be sold legally without FDA approval. The article I read seemed to indicate this was like marihuana lite.

I'm curious, don't know who's had the experience.

Of course, I've avoided CBD because I occasionally take a job that will require drug testing and I fear the CBD would give a positive...

I’m ordering a bottle of this tonight online. I swear it takes away the weight training DOMS and just general aches from getting older. Football coach buddy gave me this bottle says it helps with his old football injuries from yesteryear.

I'll grant you a mulligan. I said mulligan, not a Miller again.

Tomorrow it'll be a week for yours truly. I could've gone for a few yesterday and today. It's more about habit for me. I had to buy a longer belt last week. Not cool. But I am jollier.

Hondo, when you're ready to break out of your beer jail, point your hood north and get yourself to the Eola School Restaurant and Brewery. Words cannot describe. Although it looks like a derelict and abandoned schoolhouse, just go on in and wander the dank halfways until you find the cafeteria. Don't let the word restaurant fool you; if the proprietor doesn't feel like cooking, is out of hamburger, is drunk, or just flat doesn't like how you look, there will be no food for you. As for the beer, his Farm Ale has something of a following. It's kinda famous, in that it's a brewery in the middle of between nowhere and nowhere else. Don't worry about deciding which beer to get, because he will probably only have one on tap.

As you're driving home later, you'll ask yourself, what the hell was that?

Hereís a link to a thread I posted on another forum with the account of my four-day journey on a beer only diet 14 years ago. I found it to be a quick reset portal back to healthy eating after a month of holiday binging and sloth. ďBeer onlyĒ though, is one of those things that sounds better than it really is.

Oh man. I was really pulling for you. I guess it just wasn't your time. I'm by no means against anyone wanting to throw back a few. But going 30 days should not be a problem if that's what you really want.

Pandemic Boredom Syndrome aka PBS... Decided to up the miles and hours significantly riding everyday. That will force me to behave myself ... plotted out 12 weeks that started yesterday with a 32 mile gravel ride 2:47:00 burns many calories. I guess having PBS is similar to what a woman suffering with PMS must feel like. Will be back on bike in a few hours so I can keep my sanity.

Hey Hondo, here's my story, and I hope that it provides some inspiration for you.

Around mid-November of 2020, I quit drinking. I also quit smoking weed. I hold a medical marijuana card because of my PTSD, but now it doesn't get used. It was pretty tough at first, and I could write a book on my lifetime of alcoholic endeavors, but I'll keep it simple.

I was drinking 30-50 craft beers per week, and at least one 1.75 liter of bourbon/vodka/tequila- easily uncapping a fresh bottle by the end of the week.

Like I said, the beginning was tough, but it got better as time rolled on. Christmas was tough to get through without "celebrating", but by January I had less cravings. In short, I feel 100% better, and I lost 22 pounds so far. Instead of spending $600 a month on beer, booze, and weed, I now leave it alone, and my account is looking much better now.

I still have issues with depression/anxiety, and I also suffer from PTSD and ASD, but now they are easier to deal with since my meds do not have to compete with the booze. I quit the weed because I was tired of feeling like a lazy hippie.

I still feel like I've only had a temporary reprieve from it. I still feel like I'll go back to it someday if I don't get some help. The Covid thing is suppressing my desire to approach AA and get started with that, and I will as soon as there will be bonafide meetings - not on Zoom or anything remote. FWIW I get my second vaccine shot next week, but I estimate it'll be July or August before people start feeling safe about clustering up again.

You can do this, buddy!
