Bike Rack that locks by the wheels
Hey everyone.
I just bought my 1st Trek bike. Did no research on it and bought it as an impulse buy since there's no bikes anywhere. I really liked the bike but realized later that I may have an issue with a bike rack. Here's the bike that I bought.
www(dot)trekbikes(dot)com/us/en_US/bikes/hybrid-bikes/recreation-bikes/verve/verve-2-disc-lowstep/p/32734/ - Make sure to change the (dot) to an actual period.
I've been looking around for a 2" hitch bike rack that locks in from the wheels. I saw the 1up Heavy Duty Rack and really like it, but it's out of stock, like everything else. Correct me if I'm wrong, since my bike doesn't have the "top bar" that connects one side of the frame to the other, I can't use a regular rack because the racks usually have a post that goes under the "top bar" of the bike to hold it and then you can strap it in.
Please correct me if I'm wrong and are there any other recommendations of a good hitch rack that I should buy? I'm actually doing more research this time around.
Thank you!

You can get an inexpensive bike bar to use a hanging rack
https://www.amazon.com/Retrospec-Cro...a-872188813615
I have been using the smaller version of this rack for multiple years now. Can't beat the price. In stock and free overnight delivery

We use a Yakima Two Timer wheel tray style hitch mount for carrying a Trek e-assist step-thru - Verve+ - and a short wheelbase recumbent

Thule T2
Expensive, yes. Strong, oh yes.
Warning, it IS heavy.
Two versions. The larger Class III hitch version can be expanded to 4 bikes.
I've had 4 expensive road bikes back there and never worried.

I flip girls bikes upside down. I can usually fit the rack between the rear wheel and seat tube and under the frame up front. Not sure if that might work for you.

Aluminum or steel frame. For the Allen type racks some bikes you can locate the rack arms behind the seat tube at the junction with the seat stays and the other rack arm under the bottom down tube. I’ve done this with kids bikes.
The upside down is also a good suggestion.

I ended up ordering a INNO INH110. I thought about it. Cheaper for having one rack, since I'll be taking just my bike. I can use this until I truly need to upgrade for whenever it's necessary.

I also used a 5% off code to get this to under $320 after tax + free shipping.
