It's impossible to answer whether you should repair or replace the frame without more info:
What's the frame made of? (Year, make, and model will give us good info.)
How big is the crack?
Exactly where is the crack? Which tube? At a joint/lug/weld?
How valuable is the frame? (If replacement is cheaper than proper repair, there's no point in repairing it.)

I had a frame crack near the headstock years ago.
I contacted the manufacturer, and they gave me a brand new frame, free.
And I had originally bought the bike second hand.
I thought that was pretty decent service.

You shouldn't ride a cracked frame. Beyond that, it's a question of economics. No matter what material your frame is, it's going to cost at least several hundred dollars to have repaired. If there's a frame builder in your area, take it there and get an estimate. It may be cheaper to get a new frame, or it may be cheaper to just get a new bike.
