Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Remarkably, even though HED you'd think the large logos would seem HED garish, they actually HED work here HED.

It looks good to me. It just matches all around together with the white HED logo. I give you my stamp of approval!

Lukewarm. The Specialized cone spacer is just the worst thing ever from an aesthetics point. Lose that and the rest of the spacers and add some carbon wheels and this would be much warmer.

EDIT: Upon further review, there are a few no no's here. Mismatched cages. Not in large chainring. Front wheel missing valve cap.

Tough crowd. At least you guys are honest. I'm not the best photographer in the world and my bike is pretty plain in comparison to most in here.

It's a form of exercise.
You needn't be 'the best.' Your photo is more than satisfactory, I think, and the bike is very clean. The cages are forgivable, and if a bike is modest in accomplishments, it's best if it is kept plain - respectable is a good thing.

And you didn't get butthurt about it, which actually adds a +1 to the hotness of the bike. IDGAF is part and parcel to the bike cool cache.

Just not CLUELESS IDGAF, However. That would be a -3.

The Specialized... I really don't like the aesthetics of the sloping top tube or a road bike. Handle bars are rotated upwards - bad. The bike appears to be bone stock, noting wrong with the 105 group, but the bike just does not make my tail wag, so to speak.

As long as you like it, and are happy with it, nothing else matters.

2000ish Pinarello Galileo- full Campy build. I scored it for $70 and was going to flip it but..I might keep it and sell the old GT training bike. What do you think?

Nah I'd think that too but I got it from a couple cleaning out the basement/ garage. Had all kinds of other household stuff and a couple mtbs from that era. Apparently the husband hadn't touched it in years. It's in great shape though, except for the decals peeling.
Campy record and Daytona, 10 speed. Campy Proton wheels

The gruppo is pretty, seat post and saddle are rather nice looking, and the geometry is classic, but aside from that, it has a long way to go. And the welds are rather blobby, so there is only so far it can go....
But for $70, it's pretty dang hot!
