Or a town

Everything in the town had my name on it except the local propane gas supplier. It didn't say Stuart's Gas. I was so bummed.

The ultimate ride? 😁 This is just North of Colorado Springs a bit, heading towards the Black Forest. I got snowed on 2 nights in a row, and finally headed South again, till Spring kicks in better. 🙄

I remember a large hand-painted sign on the road beside a high-brow Long Island tennis academy that read "Now Accepting Limited Applicants."
("Limited" is a politically-correct term generally used to describe a person as not-so-smart. I contacted the academy and they quickly changed the sign to "Now Accepting a Limited Number of Applicants." Wordy, but at least not laughable.)

But is it a single 15% grade hill for 30 miles? A 15% grade over 30 miles would be a hill over 23,000 feet from top to bottom. What a downhill! Even I might overheat my brakes on that one
Or is it 30 miles away so you should have lots of opportunity to avoid it.

Went down this. I think the way up was just as steep, if not steeper. I had to walk for a bit.

you guys have put up a bunch of really good photos.
There was one I regret not taking this year in Mexico.
I had a really long day to do, about 115km with a bunch of climbing at the end, so I wasn't dilly dallying, taking advantage of a slight tailwind, and taking only short food breaks and I purposely took the toll highway a lot and also got the "draft effect" from a gazillion trucks going by.
So on a slight downhill and a tailwind, I passed a speed limit sign that said essentially, "80km/h in normal conditions, 50kph when the Monarch butterflies are migrating through", but was a goof and didnt stop. Thought I'd see more like it, but never did.
seeing all your good shots made me remember that

Took this at a welcome center in Delaware Water Gap, PA after a bike ride. Can't decide if it's meant literally or if it's bad grammar.

I recall my first time living in Latin America nearly 35 years ago, and finding this kinda odd, and gross, but this is a good example of how as first world people, we are very lucky living where we live for all kinds of reasons, the least of which is having proper infrastructures in our societies. In the sewer systems, water etc, its all about money.
In the 80s, with the exchange program I was on, one of the visiting young guys kept on putting the toilet paper in the bathroom trash, which for the host family was pretty darn confusing until it was explained to them, and he finally changed his habits.
