Am I the only one who thinks that Velo Orange should offer their fenders in a dark hard-anodized finish like a late 80s - early 90s rim? My Portland Design Works Full Metals have this, and it's rad.

(Of course, then there's the question of which one would be best... Mavic, like an MA-40? Campagnolo Hardox? Araya? They were all similar, but noticeably different. I'd vote for Mavic, but that Araya CTL-370 bronze would look killer on the right bike.)

I was hoping to find a set that were bronze or similar in color to the aged copper on the rivets and couldn't. While I wanted something other than polished aluminum, the bright gold finishes I did find were a bit more "look at me" than I was going for. I'm still contemplating painting these to match the bike if the installation doesn't prove fatal...

I painted the flutes gold on my Honjos. Not that you see it much.

That's the color I'm after, it matches the trek logo outline.
