This thread is kinda like going to a reunion -- and getting bits & pieces of info about your friends and almost friends and usedtobe friends who AREN'T there.
What a hoot!

Glad a bunch of PNW folks are here. There are some neat bike guys here in Puget Sound and just east of the Cascade crest. Many frequent different forums, as well.

I know it's happening to me, slowly. I still check in, but there are fewer and fewer threads that interest me.
A lot of repeat threads, as has been said. And not as many bikes of interest to me than there were before, it seems.
But that's OK. So it goes.
Me too, S.

The fact that it's miserable riding weather isn't helping either

Please, I still get PO'ed when I think of what he made off with.

I for one have also spent a lot of time away, although I do pop in every once and a while. I have pictures of about 10 or more bikes I have done since spring that I have never posted about, sigh!

Problems with my health have kept me off a bike & any real riding since spring, so I just keep building them. On a side note, my wife & cousin have been putting a lot of miles on the Hybrid's I've built for them. I have upgraded both of their bikes to be more touring friendly with better tires, computers, rear panniers & tools. I have installed a complete XT 9spd group on my wife's Diamondback Override.

i open the forum in my browser maybe once a week in between meetings....

I talk to the Colonel regularly and even found time to eat in his restaurant last November. There are a handful of other members here who always know where i am...

I've moved again, this time into a house we own that we plan to stay in for a long time.

I work in NYC.

The only bike riding I've done lately is on Citibike in Manhattan.

Or on an electrified 650B commuter i sometimes take the the train station.

OK, back to work.

His restaurant is absolutely amazing. I am used to some amazing food here in NYC, and I would trade pretty much any restaurant here for his.

I seem to remember him talking about a baby coming. Did he have a baby too, or was that metaphorical discussion about his restaurant, or am I thinking of someone entirely different?

Yes, I think she's about two years old now. @lostarchitect, you were able to visit? Sounds great.

Yeah, it was a brief visit when passing through around a year ago. Got to say hi and have an excellent meal.

Sometimes I don't realize someone has stopped posting until you do google search and come up with a hit on an old thread. Searching for a support on a Cannondale bag and saw some posts by @mkeller234 , and always thought his builds were so practical. I think he started having kids so that probably is limiting his time.
