I’ve never actually met my No. 1 cat sitter, but my recycling bins reveal some things about her dietary habits. She drinks a lot of Pepsi and stuff from Dunkin’. One time I found a receipt from CVS under my couch. She probably dropped it and it got blown under the couch by the heater. There was a 2L bottle of Pepsi on the receipt. I also found a McDonald’s bag in my trash one time.

The fee issue is the reason I will not work for insurance companies. They have commoditized their work to the point where they are dictating that lawyers are paid very low rates or low flat rates per case, and I want nothing to do with that. A lot of the insurance defense lawyers are getting paid $100-150/hour and being told what they can and cannot do in the course of a case. No thank you.
