greetings & salutations from eastern Ontario & Van Island

Hi guys, Pace here. I live in Ottawa and 2 months a year on Vancouver Island (near Tofino). I got back into MTB 7 years ago after 10 years away because well, I was a heavy opiate addict and maker of MDMA. This sport, alongside Jiu Jitsu saved me. That simple. I am so grateful to be able to ride and have fun at 50 after 35 years of being a waste-case.
Anyway, I look forward to learning & meeting new peeps. 6 weeks ago I took a nasty tumble and broke my scapula, tore my rotator cuff and broke 2 ribs therefore next weekend will be my first time back. I can't wait.
Peace & Happy Trails!
Pace

Howdy, from a former Seattle resident. ✌️ Your thread title threw me off a bit at first, then I realized what you meant, lol.

I put down the alcohol back in '92, and that was tough, so I have an idea your ride through life ain't exactly easy either. I pray for folks like us every day. 👍
