Oh, great, another deep-pocketed hoarder with a bunch of wall-hangers. Now we can blame pb*bikes and Wiggo for driving up auction prices.

I just saw that today. Isn't Eric Clapton a vintage bike collector also? He can have all those 80/90's bikes as it's not my favorite time period. I was actually going to post this up. lol.

They knighted Tom and his Jones, Rod "Hot Legs" Stewart, Jerry Lewis and heck even Bono. So I don't think it takes too much to earn that title.

Sigh... Cycling weekly describes Ballerini's C40 and shows a pic of his Titanio. I'd expect that from People or something but a cycling mag? And a C40 no less!

Imagine selling some nubbin' on the bay and than having to address it to a real Sir and all...
It's good to know though that he's in the cult.

I've been hunting for a Moser Leader AX for awhile now, he is my size, maybe I'll shoot him an offer
I knew he was into vintage stuff when, a few years ago, he was asked which bike frame he liked the most and he instantly responded with "C40".

“The C40 was probably my favourite bike. I’ve never actually ridden one, but just to look at it… It was my favourite. I have a frame but haven’t built it up yet. I picked it up off of eBay.”

Well -- Pinarello might be not so happy if he was photo'ed riding around town on a Colnago ---- thats why he mentioned one the Colnago's was going to be his coffee shop cruiser when he retires. He's so tall and lanky, he likely gets recognized everywhere he goes too
But game on for the Big Mig TT bikes !

Very cool guy with very cool taste. I sort of wrote him off as a GC contender early on because of his track background. Too good at something too different, was my reasoning.
And he looks like a lost Weasley brother.
Boy was I wrong!
Very cool guy. Great interviews.
He and I ride the same size bikes. We have very similar taste in music. And clothes....
