Brompton new factory plans
From The Guardian:

Present factory is in West London...hmm. Under the 'a' of Harrow, about even with the bottom of Wembley.

There is also a good write up on the BBC news feed. Interesting since they recently expanded the facilities where they are now.

I'm a bit surprised by the move, given the constant drumbeat that the bike is made in the city to stay intimately connected with the needs of the users. (I've always thought that was a bit specious.)
I spent some 35 years in windowless factories and I applaud the announced plan to build this lovely, humane factory building.
I've long opined that the Brompton is expensive in part because it's built at one of the most expensive locations in the world, West London. That said, I don't really see the note on a new £100,000,000 factory as contributing to a price reduction!
No doubt WB-A has plans on how to get his skilled core staff to relocate out of the city to Kent.
